Abstract
This book is part of the series ‘International
Perspectives in Adult Education’ which
includes many studies drawn from countries
in and around Europe, with the aim of
providing information and improving cooperation
in adult education at an international
level. Peter Mayo draws on his
extensive experience of the Maltese education
system to present an informative
account of different types of adult education
on the islands. He also addresses some wider
contentious issues on the changing role of
adult education in meeting the demands of
a global economy.
