The Art of Engineering: Ventilation Dress II

A PowerPoint presentation and in conversation discussion with Lara Goodband, Curator of the Engineered exhibition and David Sowden, School of Engineering, University of Hull about Ventilation Dress II artwork.
During the presentation, I present other artists, designers and writers and my own past work as influences that explored the seemingly unlikely marriage between mining and textiles. I recount a few of these inspirations before presenting the ideas and intentions underpinning Ventilation Dress and its most recent manifestation for the Da Vinci Engineered From Renaissance mechanics to contemporary art exhibition.
