Abstract
The Consumer Rights Act (CRA) 2015 clarifies and consolidates previous legislation
on unfair contract terms in CRA Part 2. Previously, this area was covered by the Unfair
Contract Terms Act (UCTA) 1977 and the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations
(UTCC Regs) 1999 SI No 2083. In this article, Gerald Swaby provides an overview of the
provisions for consumers as to whether a term or notice is fair or void.
