Williamson, Sarah (2013) Thinking Through Making: Aesthetic Forms of Knowledge Construction. In: The role of fiction and aesthetics in learning and development, 1st July 2013, University of Huddersfield, UK. (Unpublished)
Abstract

Learning through creative practice will be explored with a focus on how visual and ‘making’ can promote thinking and reflective thought, while also offering a ‘way into writing’ for some students. Reflective book-making, poetic inquiry and textual and image-based collage will be considered as methods of inquiry and knowledge construction.
