Abstract

Participants will be introduced to how data can be harnessed from GradeMark to inform teaching and assessment and support student achievement. To provide examples of how data harnessed from GradeMark has been used to improve teaching and to target specific, timely and useful interventions for students. The session will cover:
• How data can be used for improving student achievement and improving teaching
• Re-usable learning objects – in terms of comments made on assignments and targeted feedback
• How groups of academic staff could use the data and make interventions more efficient across modules/courses/departments where shared outcomes are common
• Providing feedback in different format for students, some students will prefer video explanations rather than text to explain a point for development
