Abstract

A simulation framework for spectrum sensing, SimulSense, is proposed. SimulSense provides a controlled interference environment in which competing spectrum sensing and reasoning algorithms for cognitive radio systems can be validated and fairly compared. The simulation framework is reconfigurable and expandable. An example of its use is presented.
