Abstract

The coupling of organizations and sexualities may not often be recognized, but in fact this is a relatively well-established area of sociological inquiry. This derives from diverse academic and political influences and interests, such as poststructuralism and new sexual social movements. It has included empirical, policy, and theoretical studies which have contributed such concepts as sexual labor and organization sexuality. The impacts of information and communication technologies, and other sociotechnologies is a growing contemporary focus.
