Abstract

This research strand is focused on creating a better understanding of the development of painting as material practice, research and pedagogy in the era of accelerated innovation in the related areas of digital technologies and materials science in an effort to move the understanding of painting practice beyond its general characterisation as a practice delimited by and entrenched in medium specificity.
