Abstract

The English Isles presents proceedings of a conference held at Trinity
College, Dublin, in 2007, ‘to debate and offer a new perspective on the
origins of England’s empire’. The nine articles, by leading academics and
emerging scholars, cover themes in the history of Britain and Ireland from
the eleventh to the seventeenth centuries.
