Lycett, Robert (2014) Stones. [Artefact]
Abstract

A series of walks in the Calder Valley. During each walk, the artist traces around small stones in his path using a thick graffiti marker and india ink. The small stones are returned to their natural position in the landscape, bearing inky evidence of their recording. They become way marks along the route.

When exhibited, the sketchbooks are placed upon a surface of printed A4 paper sheets, representing the location as an abstraction of the Openstreetmap database for the walk area.
