Abstract
Between 2005-2012 Pardo split his time between his base in Los Angeles and Merida in the Yucatan to work on the hacienda project 'Tecoh'. In 2013 Pardo relocated his entire practice in Merida. This dialogue with the artist focuses on how local conditions - such as climate and materials - initially impacted upon his working method during the design and fabrication of the hacienda, and recently became the key factors driving the project.
