Abstract
Location specific, propagation predictions for radio systems with outdoor base-stations and indoor users are advantageous when planning or designing broadband wireless systems. A new model, based on a combination of three-dimensional ray-tracing for the outdoor environment and semi-empirical methods for the indoor-outdoor building interface and indoor propagation, that yields such predictions, is presented. In the paper an algorithmic description of the model is provided along with a critical comparison between its predictions and measurements. The model produces statistical predictions of field strength and time dispersion characteristics within a target building
