Many ontologies are built upon a taxonomy which entirely depends on a controlled vocabulary. This has many drawbacks, particularly in the environments that depend on social networking. On
the other side, Folksonomies are used as a way to deal with free tagging systems. Although these have many weaknesses, they could be very useful in dealing with the requirements of those working in social networking environments.
