This session will report on research partly funded by Escalate into the experience of teacher-trainees on in-service training courses at FE colleges. This project explored the benefits and tensions in being simultaneously both employed teacher and teacher-trainee, and made recommendations to teacher-trainers and FE employers to enhance this situation of dual identity.
