Abstract
Aggregate interference due to neighboring carrier-sense-multiple-access (CSMA) nodes for a short range densely packed sensor network has been calculated. The resulting dependence of signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) on node density is presented to allow density dimensioning. The channel parameters are finally used to calculate the aggregate SIR.
