Abstract

In 2005 the University of Huddersfield launched a small in-house computer games studio, Canalside Studios. The studio team is
made up of undergraduate students and is supported by two enterprising members of academic staff.
After delivering a successful entertainment game for Microsoft Xbox, YoHo Kablammo, the Canalside studio team were asked by colleagues from the Arms and Armour Research group to work with The Royal Armouries to develop digital interactive museum displays that would appeal to the Xbox generation.
