Product design scheme decision-making determines product's creativity and knowledge content. It is usually accomplished by designers manually. In the paper, the principle, architecture, key technologies and implementation of product design scheme decision-making system based on CBR coupled with ANN are discussed. The emphases are concentrated on product scheme case classification and modeling, product information coding strategy based on CBR, product scheme case training, product scheme case search, and product scheme case deduction. The system provides novel approaches and tools for product design decision-making to respond to market demands quickly.
