Abstract

Describes modelling of hold-up phenomena within circular horizontal pipes. The hold up becomes very important in pipeline
applications in concentrated slurry flows. This work has simplified to a great extent complexities involved in estimating in-situ
concentration of solid particles within the pipes based of physical properties of solid and fluids, which has further simplified
methodologies to estimate pressure drop and wear characteristics of the pipes.
