Barber, Claire (2008) Stepping Lightly on 88 Pillows. [Show/Exhibition]
Abstract

The 88 concrete pillows that make up this piece were initially created to evoke the vulnerablity of tree specimens and the robust protection they are provided within Westonbirt Arboretum, Goucestershire. The pieces have been re-placed in the ruins of King John's Palace, Southampton, one of the best-preserved Norman houses in England, creating new ways of exploring the work.
