Abstract
There comes a time in many ODP
students’ lives, or so it is reported, when
the pile of textbooks seems to
metaphorically topple on top of them –
engulfing them in a sea of familiar
covers. Davey and Ince, Sasada and
Smith, Kumar, McLatchie and Leaper
smother them. While, from a great
height, Brigden’s Operating Theatre
Technique delivers the
coup de grace. Is that all
there is?
