Professional Insincerity, Identity and the Limits of Narrative Repair

Clive Baldwin was involved for many years in the field of community development in the voluntary sector in the UK . He was awarded his PhD from the University of Sheffield in 2000, for his thesis on narrative analysis and child abuse and then became a Research Fellow at the Ethox Centre, University of Oxford where he was the principal researcher on a qualitative research project exploring the ethical issues faced by family carers of people with dementia. He currently works as Senior Lecturer at the Bradford Dementia Group, University of Bradford where he is Course-Coordinator for the MSc in Dementia Studies by distance learning. His particular interests are ethics, family carers, technology and narrative theory and methods.
