Abstract

As a result of its empire and the early industrialization of its economy, the United Kingdom has had a significant impact upon business institutions and practice around the world. This article considers institutions of significance to business ethics in the UK – in particular the governance framework and the stock market – and provides an overview of the development of academic business ethics.
