This session presents the opportunity to hear from three Librarians at the heart of decision making in their university libraries described as ‘research intensive’, ‘towards research intensive’ and ‘Russell Group’ (including two RLUK libraries). Joanna Ball (University of Sussex), Andrew Barker (University of Liverpool) and Graham Stone (University of Huddersfield) will briefly outline their roles and remits which covers both collection management and academic liaison. In addition, Liverpool and Huddersfield have a close relationship with their Presses, while Sussex work closely with SAGE.
Following on from these presentations, delegates will have the opportunity to ask questions to discover why librarians from universities make the purchasing decisions they do.
