Mind the Gap

This chapter traces the history of the theatre company Mind the Gap, and explores the development of its artistic, political and educational work with performers with learning disabilities. Alongside discussions of the company’s background and company structure, the chapter presents detailed overviews of key projects and places the work in the artistic context of Disability Arts, and the political context of social inclusion. In outlining critical considerations of Mind the Gap’s work, the analysis also questions the relationship between learning disability and authenticity.
