Abstract

The aim of this project is to establish new ways to construct decorative surfaces using concrete as the main component. To use a systematic approach to the investigation of material enquiry through sample making. Exploring processes and techniques to produce new compositions using textiles, yarns, glass, pigments and plastics, as intrinsic constituents of the structure or as mould making materials. Document findings in a reflective journal through sketching, photography and annotation. Collating thoughts, ideas and feelings, feeding them into the research. Therefore furthering the use of concrete as a design material.
