This paper will discuss how intimate acts of multimedia interactivity stimulate new forms of perception and require performers as interactor-mediator-avatars to work in ways that are overtly synesthetic. The paper will comment on new psychophysical disciplines emerging out of work with interactive technology, and the enhanced and new perceptions that result. The specific focus of the paper will be on Kinaesonic operations and with particular reference to the artists work with the Bodycoder System.
