Abstract

School of Art, Design & Architecture academics Dr. Ertu Unver and Andrew Taylor were invited by Chris Wilkinson President of the Textiles Society, as guest speakers at the Society's lecture event, held at the Textile Centre of Excellence, in Huddersfield UK on Monday 17th February 2014.
Around 60 Delegates from local industries in design, manufacturing, craft, engineering, product, architecture were in attendance for the dinner, exhibition and lecture titled:
3D Printing- Media Hype or Manufacturing Reality: Textiles Surface Fashion Product Architecture.
A exhibition of 3D printed objects; manufacturing parts, art and design products were curated by Unver and Taylor from over 10 years of 3D R&D printing projects in the School of Art, Design & Architecture.
These 3D objects were on display, and could be handled during the evening.
