Abstract
This case study describes changes at the Natural History Museum in London during the 1980's and early 1990's. Changing objectives and strategies, substantially influenced by external stakeholder pressure and financial constraints, are discussed; and their impact upon the culture and values of NHM and its staff are explored. The utilisation and contribution of corporate planning by the Museum's senior management is used as a framework for this.
