    Abstract

AS THE COST OF DIGITAL audio workstations
(DAWs) and recording equipment has come down
over the years, it’s become possible for musicians
at all levels of income to produce their own
songs. Unfortunately, this hasn’t guaranteed that
everyone’s projects will meet with excellent results. Money still
matters when it comes to hardware, software and the recording
environment, as do the expertise and talent of the performers
    and producers.
