Abstract
Lisa Ward joined the University of Huddersfield to manage a TQEF funded project, Student Employability and Good Practice in Placement Provision . Her first degree in Mathematics included a sandwich placement at Kodak, which sparked her interest in manufacturing and process/quality improvements. Her MSc in Manufacturing Systems Engineering included a thesis on Implementing Statistical Process Control in Tablet Manufacture for Glaxo. Lisa has managed diverse teams as a Service Manager in Local Government and led an all-male team to manufacture precision aerospace components from composite materials. Her career includes Customer Service/Relationship Management, Project, Change and Strategic Management, Budgets, Quality
and IT.
