International Handel Festival 2006, given in the Deutsches Theater, Göttingen.

Context:
Dr Cummings was employed as text consultant and guest lecturer for the Göttingen International Handel Festival 2006
production of Poro, preparing revisions, corrections and clarifications to Chrysander’s 19th-century score (the only one
available) of the opera for the conductor Konrad Junghänel. This consultancy request follows Dr Cummings’ preparation of the
edited music score of Poro for Edition Bärenreiter, which is to be published in 2009. The revised version of Chrysander’s score
was also used by the London Handel Festival for performances of Poro at the Royal College of Music in March 2007.
