The research aims to develop new and innovative learning and teaching methods, through the application of 3D CG technologies in Fashion and Textiles education. The research poster presents a series of investigations and experiments into the use of 3D technologies by BA/BSc & MA/MSc students. Case study methods are used to explore and gather data on practice and teaching and learning in HE fashion/textiles and clothing educational environments. 3D laser scanning technology, high cost and low cost 3D software for clothing design and construction of virtual garments are evaluated and tested. Interactive 3D CG learning tools are being developed to integrate new and innovative learning and teaching methods into Fashion and Textiles education.
