Pitts, Adrian and Ashby, Rob (2011) A study of the relationships between income, energy consumption and home insulation installation. In: UK Energy Research Centre Conference: Energy and People: Futures, Complexity and Challenge, September 2011, Oxford.Metadata only available from this repository.
Market forces and prioritization policies have accelerated the take-up of basic insulation measures in less affluent homes. But, in the homes of affluent householders, those householders who as a group use the most energy and emit the most carbon dioxide, progress has been significantly slower. This paper illustrates the developing trends, which the Green Deal must reverse if emissions reduction targets are to be achieved.
