Abstract

The aim of the paper is to analyze and compare the differences that may exist between the UK and the US, as far as Lean intervention in healthcare sector is concerned. An analytic framework, based on a literature review to understand Lean thinking deployment in these countries, generated two research questions. These are about the difference in the way Lean implementations were applied and the Lean maturity level which has been achieved by these geographical areas.
