Glover, Ian (1988) Modelling of spectral characteristics of hydrometeor scatter. In: IEE Colloquium on Radio Frequency Co-Channel Interference Measurements and Modelling at 1-30 GHz. IEEE, pp. 1-30.
Abstract

The authors discuss the spectral modelling of precipitation scattered signals. A distinction is made between long- and short-term spectral characteristics i.e. spectral characteristics measured on time scales respectively long and short compared with the decorrelation time of the scatterers. In the case of the long-term characteristics a minimalistic spectral model is presented. In the case of the short-term characteristics the intuitive inverse relationship between coherence bandwidth and delay spread is made more precise
