Abstract

Sustainable innovation in the outdoor industry has largely focused on materials and processing. This paper argues that the consumer profile and innovation-led nature of the industry provides an opportunity for new business models and approaches to support sustainability. The conclusion is that the outdoor industry has the potential to pioneer sustainable thinking in a business context.
