Abstract
The Global Open Water Swimming Conference. Contemporary Art & The Open Water
A lecture discussing the practice of open water swimming and its parallels with performance art documentation via time-based processes of film. The lecture highlights how conceptually based artworks have been developed from direct involvement with the sport of open water swimming and how the work is received by a sport audience.
