Abstract

The accurate determination of initial populations of continuously distributed desorption activation energy processes from measurements of total evolution rate during prescribed heating schedules (tempering) is discussed. It is shown that the exponential tempering function defined by dT/dt = r1T is unique in allowing accurate deconvolution of the evolution rate.
