Abstract
In October 1983 Tottenham Hotspur "went public" with a full stock market listing. The case looks at this decision and the outcome to summer 1985. It also considers the declining fortunes and changing environment of professional football clubs in the '80's and the necessary development of additional commercial activities and businesses. It is useful for environmental analysis, strategic alternatives and strategy implementation.
